This holiday season design curators Josee Lepage and Tobias Wong will present the Candy Shoppe, a unique candy store experience in Soho.
Lepage and Wong are teaming up with artisan candy makers Papabubble to create an emporium of tasty treats in the showroom of the Italian furniture company Cappellini. This “Shoppe in Shop” will showcase candies hand-made by Papabubble exclusively for the event. This project will be multi-collaborative on all levels. Whether the candies are inspired by classic Cappellini designs, dreamed up by the candy creatives along with direction by Lepage and Wong themselves - all will be affordable, delicious and available only at Cappellini.
“Our mission for this project is to make you happy with a collection of candy gifts so beautiful that when you give it away you may want to shamelessly ask for it back,” says co-producer Tobias Wong. The project is providing a new artistic platform for Fiona Ryan, co-owner of Pappabubble as well, “We are all really excited about this project. It's great to have the opportunity to come out of our shop and collaborate with push-the-limit creatives.”
The Shoppe opens on November 27 and will stay open until January 15, 2010. The opening event, on Saturday, November 28, will take place from 5-7 PM. Sweet tooths of all ages are welcome.
